University of Delaware Visitors Center
on South College Avenue, between Kent Way & Winslow Road, Newark
Constructed in 1890

The Visitors Center provides a single location on campus where visitors can come and park conveniently in the adjacent Visitors Lot. It hosts about 30,000 people a year who come to campus for tours or to participate in University programs. The Visitors Center is also the official home of the Blue Hen Ambassadors, over 200 undergraduates who act as tour guides and Admissions recruitment assistants. The center, formerly known as the Chambers House, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
