Mechanical Hall (MEH)

Constructed in 1898

Mechanical Hall, built in 1898, recently underwent a $4.6 million renovation and is now a climate-controlled art gallery to house the Paul R. Jones Collection, one of the most complete holdings of African-American art in the world, donated to UD by Mr. Jones in 2001. The building now has an art gallery, study room, art storage area and offices. Listed on the National Register of Historic Sites.
