Alumni Hall
on East Main Street, east of North College Avenue, Newark
Constructed in 1809

Alumni Hall, built by Dr. Joseph Chamberlain in 1809 and acquired by the college in 1903, has served a variety of purposes, including that of the Delaware College Library. For many years it was known as Purnell Hall, but it was renamed Alumni Hall in 1970 with the construction of the new Purnell Hall for the business college. Listed on the National Register of Historic Sites.
