Wellspring
on South College Avenue, next parking lot #33, Newark
Constructed in 1914

This historic house was the first president's residence to be provided by the University. President Samuel Chiles Mitchell lived here between 1914-17. It was the Home Management House of the then-College of Home Economics for many years. Currently, it is the home of Wellspring, an adjunct office of the Center for Counseling and Student Development, providing health promotion and supportive counseling for students on a variety of wellness topics.
