Sharp Laboratory (SHL)
on the corner of South College & East Delaware avenues (The Green), Newark
Constructed in 1962

Sharp Laboratory is named in honor of H. Rodney Sharp, Class of 1900 and a member of the Board of Trustees from 1915-68. It contains offices and classrooms for the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Bartol Research Institute, and houses the Institute's 38-ton cosmic ray detector.
